In Sanskrit, Mandir means a place where the mind becomes still 
and experiences inner peace. 

Nestled in the heart of NJ, BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham is a haven of tranquility and spiritual reflection. It is a sacred Hindu Place of worship and the abode of the Divine. It is an iconic testament to Hindu art, architecture and spirituality, offering profound insights into Hindu traditions and teachings. Visitors here are welcomed into a world with various forms of beauty, where the timeless teachings of Hinduism come to life. 

Each part of the campus, including 
the serene Nikanth Plaza, 
the enchanting Welcome Center and 
the Akshardham Mahamandir, has its own purpose and meaning. 
Every corner of Akshardham invites individuals to embark on a transformative journey 
that guides them toward the radiant joy of the Divine. 

We will have a guided tour of this magnificent structure 
with time to eat on your own (approx. 1-1:30pm) 
at their VEGETARIAN CAFE and time to explore the grounds.

This trip requires a good amount of walking but well worth it.
